| Salobreña is located in the virtually undiscovered Costa Tropical of Granada. It is one of the prettiest towns in southern Spain with its winding narrow streets and magnificent Moorish castle perched high on the hill. The scenery ranges from lush sugar cane, fruit plantations, rugged snow-capped mountains, coves and beaches, pine forests and almond groves. The area enjoys a sub-tropical climate, with a temperature of 18 degrees Celsius in winter & 25 degrees in summer, allowing for year round enjoyment of the nearby golf course and the various beaches spread over 19 kilometres of coastline.
Opportunities for walking, climbing, water sports (the beach is only 5 minutes away), golf (only 10 minutes to the nearest course), horse riding, hang gliding and even skiing in the Sierra Nevada. Nearby mountain villages await to be discovered where it seems as if time has stopped. Granada, the Moorish capital with the breathtaking Alhambra Palace and relaxing thermal spas are only 45 minutes away, Malaga 1 hr, Nerja 30 minutes, Almuñecar water park 15 minutes. You won't be bored here, unless you just want to sit by the pool and take in the views!
There is inexpensive excellent seafood, wines and local markets offering superb fresh produce. The owners live in the area and provide useful information on everything from sight seeing and entertainment options to restaurant and shopping tips.
