The press in the back room of the Molino was for pressing grapes for “mosto”, a rough wine, for the monastery that used to exist on the site of the Convento. The front rooms were a shop for “aguardiente” a local spirit . The Molino was previously owned by the “Contessa”, as she was known locally and then by a Cuban exile before the current owners bought the building seven years ago.This building is arranged around a central, open courtyard.
The entrance hall leads to your right into a spacious dining room or the kitchen straight ahead of you. The kitchen , with a breakfast table and or feeding the children and all a cook may want for a nice diner.
The central courtyard reminds one of the Ryhads in Morocco, a very guarded, open-air space with a large dining table and plenty of plants. . The dining room is large with a piano. The drawing room is next to the living room alongside the open courtyard. The living room is very cozy, spacious and full of history with beautiful beams, and an amazing large open fireplace.The property is built around the central courtyard, with the large dining table. You’ll eat under the stars, completely sheltered and very private.
The outside patio is cobbles and private, with a lovely tree for shade. The swimming pool is partly walled in. Ample for a swim, with a good depth.
