Malaga City is known as the Capital of the Costa del Sol with the sea breezes of the coastline regulating the summer heat to more comfortable levels than the inland Andalusian towns and the Malaga Mountains form the perfect barrier to protect the city from the colder weather in winter.

There is plenty to occupy tourists in Malaga from the imposing architecture to the streets and squares with their cafe life. There are several new shopping malls and many fine restaurants and bars.

There are many festivals celebrated such as the international jazz festival in November and the film festival in March. One great way to see the city is to take the open topped tourist bus which does a one and a half hour tour of the city.
