The Costa Almeria is varied with the developed tourist resorts of Roquetas de Mar and Almerimar to the west whilst to the east of Almeria there is the rugged land of the Cabo de Gata - Nijar natural park.

Northern Costa Almeria has Mojacar which is a pleasant beach resort and further north are the naturist beaches of Vera.
